LAUREL — Bonnie Carter
Bonnie Carter, 87, of Sims, Arkansas, formerly of Laurel, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011, at the Ellisville Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 8, 1924 in Laurel, to the late James and Avis (Wilson) Windham. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Laurel. She was active with the local AARP chapter and the YWCA in Laurel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Woodrow Carter, Sr. and a brother, James Bond Windham, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Carter of Sims, Ark. and William Carter, Jr. of Laurel; sisters, Ann Bass and Eleanor Smith both of Laurel; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and memorial service will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Springhill Baptist Church, 548 Springhill Road, Laurel.
Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Ark. is in charge of arrangements.
