Born to Charlotte and Edward Winder on October 24, 1919 in Fresno, California.
The family moved to Inglewood, California, where Etta attended school and worked as a stenographer until her marriage to Carl Canada in 1941.
Carl and Etta lived in Inglewood until 1948 when they moved to Redding and later to Lewiston, California. Etta worked until her retirement in 1978 at Pacific Telephone. They moved permanently to Hemet in 1999 after spending winters playing golf there and traveling, until Carl's death in 2001.
Etta was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest beside Carl at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
