Elizabeth Winder Amato, 79, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, died May 2, 1991, in a hospital.
Mrs. Amato, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Judge Savory Edward Amato. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk. She was a member of Virginia State Ladies Golf Association and the Lake Wright Golfing Association. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Charlottesville Chapter, and past president of the Charlottesville Women's Club.
Survivors include a son, Edward Winder Amato of Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Stephanie A. Hathaway of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Julian B. Goodman. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A wake service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va.
