She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Violet Wilt, Somerset, Pa., Martha Wilt, Bittinger, and Ann Wilt, Cumberland.

Big Mom grew up at Bear Hill in the Bittinger area surrounded by her large family of brothers and sisters. She moved to Potomac Hollow in Barton, and then to a farm at Laurel Run near Barton. She married Arthur Bowser (also known as "Bowser" or "Big Dad") and they ran a farm they bought in 1945 from Mont Meyers. Together they built a farmhouse and barn and milked cows for the Carnation Dairy. In addition, Arthur worked daily in his coalmine. The family lived there until they moved off the farm to Moscow in 1971.
Cindy was known for her turkey dinners at holidays with two rooms full of family eating at the same time and her telling people "you haven't eaten anything." She helped raise and love four generations of children from Leaetta to Bonnie, Ginger, Jimmy and Cathy then to Tori and then Billy, Brittany and Dillon who simply knew her as "Big Mom." She will be sadly missed by all.
