Son of Edwin Jacob and Gladys Isabel Wilt; Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. His favorite saying: "jack of all trades, master of none". Worked at the family gas station, but went onto serve in WWII in the Coast Guard on the Samuel P. Chase. After returning from the war; he ended up in Toledo, Ohio. Met Doris in a bar called the 19th hole on Sylvania Ave and a month later were married at the courthouse.(January 8, 1946). Their first apartment was located at Franklin and Bancroft then moved to a small house at Central and Holland Sylvania in Sylvania. In 1952; they purchased a house at 847 South Hill Park in Springfield Twp near Holland.
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
