LOYSVILLE - David R. "Monkey" Wilt, 72, of Loysville passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Dave was born March 10, 1940 at Blain to the late Ralph W. and Zella C. (Book) Wilt. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy E. Wilt and two sisters, Vera Mae Cauffman and Elizabeth R. Trout.
He was a U. S. Army veteran.
He was retired from Quaker Oats, Shiremanstown and then worked for Collins Construction Inc., Loysville.
He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Blain and the church choir. He sang with various groups, most recently The Recollections. He also sang with Love and Kindness; The Polka Dot; Keystone Chorus and the Good News Singers.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years of marriage, Joyce A. (Moose) Wilt, a son, Shane Scott and his wife Lisa of Harrisburg, two grandchildren, Brittni and Tyler Scott and a brother, Gene B. Wilt, Blain.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Zion United Church of Christ, 24 West Main Street, Blain, Pa. 17006 with the Rev. Paul Gehris officiating. Fellowship with the family will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ, P. O. BOX 87, Blain, Pa. 17006.
