Fred A. Wilt , 81, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, May19, 2013 in Manor Care Health Services.

Fred was the son of the late Irvin A. and Jennie E. (Spicher) Wilt. On April 17, 1971 he married the former June I. Heiser, who survies.

Fred attended Sunbury schools.

He worked for the Daily Item for more than 40 years, starting as a paper carrier and finished his career as a pressman. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, sunbury, and the Northumberland Fire Company No. 1.

Fred had a great sense of humor and loved being around people, especially his family and grandkids, with whom he enjoyed traveling, clamming and crabbing at the Delaware inlet. He also enjoyed the times at Benner's cabin.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two childred, Rodd J. Wilt and companion, Vickie L. Vayda, and Brenda L. McAllister, all of Sunbury; two grandsons, Joshua Funk, Esq., of Harrisburg, and Matthew Funk of Sunbury; one brother, Kay Wilt, of Texas' sisters, Pat Fiss of Compton, Md., and Anna Baker, of Fayettesville' and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two son's, Eddy and Steven; seven brothers, Eugene, Jack, Irvin Jr., Donald, William, Robert and James and four sisters, Dorothea Wilt, Nancy Jo Deal, Betty Wilt and Geraldine Wilt.
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
