CASCADE, Va. — Zelma Mae Wilson Adams, 60, of 3354 Cascade Road, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, in Evergreen, Ala., as the result of an automobile accident. Born Jan. 15, 1941, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of James Thomas Willson and Roberta Adams Wilson, who survives. She was married to Jessie David Adams, who survives. She worked in the Sample Department at Pillowtex in Eden, N.C. and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cascade. Survivors, in addition to her husband of the residence and mother of Cascade, include four daughters, Darnita Adams, Danielle Adams Poindexter and LaTonya James, all of the residence and Dembris Adams Bilton of Sugarland, Texas; three sons, Phillip Douglas Adams of the residence, Darryl Adams of Axton and Dennis Adams of Greensboro, N.C.; three sisters, Tempie Marie W. Hairston and Rozenia Toller, both of Danville and Patricia Hunt of Atlanta, Ga. and seven brothers, Otis Wilson of Sparks, Nev., Oliver, Sylvester, Kenneth and Charlie Thomas Wilson, all of Cascade, Samuel Jerry Wilson of Greensboro, N.C. and Lawrence Wilson of Charlottesville. She was predeceased, in addition to her father, by two sons, Duran and Donald Adams. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John W. Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow at Adams Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
