Mabel Wilson Agnew, 80, of 590 Southland Drive, Martinsville, and formerly of Bassett, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at her residence.

She was born in Patrick County on Feb. 7, 1923, to Mary Martin Wilson and Robert Lee Wilson, both deceased. She also was preceded in death by her husband, David Morris Agnew, and a sister, Rebecca Lee Wilson.

An employee of the former Standard Garments Co. for more than 14 years, she was a former member of Valley Drive Baptist Church and most recently was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Surviving are one brother, James Andrew Wilson of Collinsville; one sister, Ruth W. Martin of Bassett; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the graveside at Roselawn Burial Park.

The family is receiving friends at 590 Southland Drive, Martinsville, and 97 Holly Hill Road, Bassett.
