Glen Wilson, 72, Taken In Death
Glen W. (Hap) Wilson, 72, died Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, where he had been a patient the past eight days. He had been in failing health for several years, and seriously ill the last month.
Services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home Saturday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Hoyt L. Whitebread in charge of services. Burial will be at the Bethesda Cemetery east of Fairfield.
Mr. Wilson had lived his entire life in this community. His home was at 504 North C. He was born January 1, 1895 at Fairfield, the son of J. W. and Velma Chadduck Wilson.
He married Clara Byer on Dec. 26, 1925, and had been engaged in farming, and also worked at Loudens Machinery Co. for 13 years. He was a veteran of World War I.
Mrs. Wilson survives as well as the following children: Keith Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Keith Bennett of Fairfield; Mrs. Jack Robertson of Libya, Africa; and Donald of the home. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Charles Junkin of Route 4.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
