Mrs. Evelyn Silvers

Mrs. Evelyn Lorene Wilson Silvers, 60, of 1502 Moore St. died Thursday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Silvers, the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Jesse James Wilson, was born in Chattooga County, Sept. 20, 1909, but had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County. She was a member of Bush Arbor Baptist Church and a former employe of Pepperell Mfg. Co.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Lee Silvers, to whom she was married May 1, 1948, one son, James Pat Elrod, Rome; two daughters, Mrs. Robert M. Warren and Mrs. Carlton Fairchild, both of Rome, five sisters, Mrs. Annie Pilcher and Mrs. Sallie Hindman, both of Rome, Mrs. Suddie Agan, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Lonnie Welch, Greenville, SC and Mrs. Jessie Lee Matthews, Dalton; 15 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Bush Arbor Baptist Church with the Revs. S. H. Pendley and A. L. Agan officiating. Interment will be in Bush Arbor Cemetery.

The body will be carried to the residence at 11 a.m. Saturday to remain until the funeral hour. Pallbearers include Ralph Carter, Hubert Stillwell, Frank Couey, Willie V. Midleton, Bobby Middleton and Alfred Middleton.

Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the arrangemtnets.
