Rites For Mrs. M. Durant

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Justine Durant, who died at Garden City, Long Island, last Saturday, was held at St. Margaret's Church in this city on Monday last. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Durant was the widow of James Maxwell Durant, whose family had lived in the District of Columbia for many years and daughter of the late William James Wilson, a well known resident of Georgetown whose father was born there in 1806.
Mrs. Durant spent nearly all of her life in Washington, but after the death of her husband four years ago resided with her son, William Wilson Durant and daughter, Mrs. Earl K. Burton at Garden City. Besides another son, James Maxwell Durant Jr., who resides in Washington, she left four sisters, the Misses Julia and Sadie Wilson of this city; Mrs. Charles M. Martin of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Mrs. T. Perry Lippitt of Charles Town, West Virginia; two brothers, Claiborne A. Wilson of Chicago and Charles F. Wilson of Washington also survive.
