Hurley Lee Wilson Sr., of Dayton, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at his residence. He was 76.Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey and Louella Clark Wilson; sisters, Covie Wilson Kaylor and Ovie Wilson; brothers, Coy, Clifton and Elvis Wilson; and granddaughter, Toni Erin Wilson.Survivors include his wife, Hazel Millard Wilson; daughters, Margie Bunch, Marilyn Knowles and Vickey Sutton; sons, Hurley Wilson Jr., H. Steve and Scotty Wilson; sisters, Violet Wilson and Lois Bryant; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 1, in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Sayre and Pastor Leland Frazier officiating. Burial was in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton. Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton was in charge of the arrangements.
