Naomi had lived her entire life in the Bristow area. She attended Newby schools and graduated from Bristow High School. On February 8, 1947, she married Claude James Cochran and to this union two children were born. Jim and Naomi enjoyed 62 years together before his passing in January 2010. Naomi was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Mickey Cochran and wife Connie of Bristow, daughter, Claudia Webster and husband Gene of Tulsa, two sisters, Mattie Mosier and Wanda Roper both of Tulsa; one brother, George "Pat" Wilson of Falls River, Kansas; five grandchildren, Mikka Mattocks, Taryn Allshouse, Jared Cochran, Becky Jacobs, Katy Jacobs; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Kenneth and James Wilson.
Funeral services are11:30 am, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Jackson officiating, assisted by Reverend Michael C. Mattocks. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
