She was the daughter of William and Margaret (Badger) Wilson born March 23, 1872 in Wabash County near Lagro. Her marriage to James Curtis occurred on Jan. 10, 1894. Survivors include the husband, six children. Mrs. Lynn Sherrod of Ypsilanti, Mich.,Hubert Curtis of Wabash, Mrs. Donald Frye of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Inez Smeltzley of Wabash and Miss Edna Curtis and Glenn Curtis both of Wabash, two half brothers who live in Alberta Canada; 13 grand-children and 8 great grand-children. Three sons, Larry, Francis and Edward preceded her in death. Burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Roann, Ind..
Located in Wabash Plain Dealer: " Mrs. James Curtis; James Rhine, pastor of the Middle Street Methodist church, conducted funeral services for Mrs. James Curtis Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hoover Funeral home. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Lawrence Scheerer who sang accompanied at the organ by Lynn Taylor.
Pallbearers were Gene Purdy, William Rogers, Thomas Bone, Walter England, Charles Pettit and Robert Pettit.
Flowers were cared for by Mrs. William Rogers, Mrs. Gene Purdy, Miss Peggy Smeltzley and Miss Joan Slegelmilch. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Roann."
