She was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Peoria, the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Pratt Wilson.
She had been a resident of Elgin until retiring and moving to Kentucky in 1991, before returning to Elgin in 2004.
She was employed by Vendo, Aurora, Johnson Controls, Geneva and was partner with her husband, Robert, in the LaFox Lounge, South Elgin, before retiring.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Holbrook Jr.; two sons, Jim (Karen) Gilkerson of Oswego and Steven (Patricia) Gilkerson of South Elgin; and two brothers, Glenn (Marge) Wilson of Peoria and Eugene (June) Wilson of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, IL 60123. Burial will be in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
