BUTTON, DELPHIA RENA WILSON 87, an entrepreneurial hair stylist, died early Thursday at a Richardson elder care facility from complications of a long-standing lung disease. She was a native of Mineola and came to Dallas in the 1930s to attend business school and later hair styling college. For many years she had a beauty shop on lower Greenville Avneue after working for S.H. Lynch Co. as a receptionist and secretary during World War II. Button, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Pearl Wilson of Mineola, was born April 13, 1918 and attended Mineola public schools. When she turned 18, she saved up enough money to pay her way to business school after hitchhiking to Dallas. She enrolled and completed the course at Draughon's Business School. She was a member of the Walnut Hill United Methodist Church and active in family activities. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wildwood Chapel at Restland. Burial in Restland. Survivors: Daughters, Edna Rosser Moazzami and Elizabeth Button, both of Dallas; sister, LaVerne Ward of Hallsville, three grandchildren, Michelle Norris and husband, Nathan, of Montgomery, Ala., Michael Moazzami of Dallas, and Clara Peretz of Dallas; and two great-grandchildren, William Norris and Katherine Norris, both of Montgomery, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
