"Ada Wilson Bridges, age 71, a resident of Kings Mountain, NC, went home to be with the Lord, May 16, 2008, Hospice at Wendover. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved quality time with her grandchildren. She was born in Sampson County, North Carolina, daughter of the Late Lloyd and Eula Hamilton Wilson. An active member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, where she was a kindergarten teacher, a choir member, and she played the piano for the Senior and Children's Choirs. Active in the community, she was a member of the Broadriver Genealogical Society, the Foothills Quilting Guild, Shelby Radio Club and was a Captain with the Civil Air Patrol, Shelby, NC. She retired from the Kings Mountain District Schools having taught at East Elementary until her retirement in 2002. She continued working with children at East and West Elementary were she volunteered to read to children.

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Monday, May 19, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Dr. John W. Sloan and Rev.Tommy P. Bridges, Jr., Officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday night, May 18, 2008 at Harris Funeral Home, 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 19, 2008 in the Stained Glass Room of First Baptist Church and at other times at her home.

INTERMENT: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston, NC
