Gussie Mae Wilson Talley, 74, of Waterford, died Jan. 11, 2014, at Baptist Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was a member of New Community Church in Holly Springs, a member of the mother's board and church choir, a member of Home Improvement Society, and a retired greeter at Walmart in Holly Springs.

Services will be held at three 3 p.m. on Jan. 18 at Chulahoma MB Church. Burial will be in Mt. Peel MB Church Cemetery in Laws Hill. Elder Robert Stephens will officiate. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Pink Talley; a daughter, Janice M. Wilkins of Waterford; four sons, Robert E. Howell of Waterford, Demetrius Howell of Oxford, Michael Howell of Holly Springs, Charles Talley of Memphis; two godsons, Abraham Reynolds of Waterford, Deitrich Marion of Holly Springs; seven sisters, Mentha Miller of Waterford, Annie Moffitt-Lucas of Byhalia, Deloris Dowsing of Holly Springs, LuCatheryn Wilson, Brenda Rogers, Martha Penilton of Holly Springs, Dorothy LeSure of Olive Branch; five brothers, Wesley Wilson of Huntsville, Ala, Reggie Wilson Jr. of Chicago, Ill., Leroy Wilson of Oxford, Essex Wilson of Olive Branch, Kelvin Wilson Sr. of Waterford; 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
