Son of Neusom Seymore Wilson and Margaret Carter Wilson. He had siblings; Mary Elizabeth Wilson Templeton, Susan Wilson Jones, Annie Eliza Wilson, Paralee B. Wilson, Cassie Wilson and Jesse Carter Wilson.

He had been living in Memphis for 3 months prior to his death, apparently with his daughter, Mary Wilson Young, but his legal residence was rural Earle, Crittenden County, Arkansas. His older daughter, Eddie Mae, lived in Crawfordsville. His wife was Frances E. Wilson. He was widowed at the time of his death. Children were; Eddie Mae (married Jim Barnes), Mary Lucille (married Albert E. Young), Howard, Louis and Jessie.

Informant on his death certificate was his son-in-law, Albert Young. He was buried at Gibson Bayou Cemetery on 16-Dec-1948 by W. N. Holt.
