FOLSOMDALE — Larry A. Wilson, 73, of the Folsomdale Community, died Friday in Nashville at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
He was an elder and member of Spring Creek Church of Christ and a retired farmer.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Clarene Cox Wilson; one son, Benjamin Yancey (Lauri) Wilson of Boaz; two daughters, Ladonna (Gary-deceased) Wilson-Castle of Kansas City, Mo., and LaVerne (Mark) Vivio of Springfield, Tenn.; one brother, Rooney Wilson of Lexington, Ga.; two sisters, Fay Williams and Laverne Hunter, both of Mayfield; eight grandsons, Joshua Lovelace, Caleb Vivio, Jeremiah Vivio, Jedediah Vivio, Elijah Vivio, Eli Wilson, Wade Wilson and Max Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Alexus Lovelace. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cloyse Wilson, Joe Ben Wilson and Loy David Wilson; two sisters, June Harper and Carolyn Cox.
His parents were Chester and Mattie Esther Barker Wilson.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Byrn Funeral Chapel, with Tye Barnett and Josh Ketchum officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers
