This is the monument for Clarinda Matilda Wilson who married Jacob Jefferson Cutler about 1852 probably in Houston County, Texas. They had three children, George Benjamin, Benjamin Franklin, and Nancy. At her foot is a marker labeled "GC." This may be for a child from Jacob Cutler's second marriage to Martha Williams. Clarinda is supposed to be buried at Augusta Cemetery, but probably not this spot. Her stone may have been found near or behind this cemetery by a descendant, Henry Plev Cutler. He was supposed to have placed it here. He also made and placed a concrete marker for George W. Wilson, her father, nearby. Again, George W. Wilson probably was buried at this cemetery but not at the spot where his monument has been placed.
