Jerome J. Wilson, 69, of Bellevue, Wash., died Wednesday morning, June 17, 1998, at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Wash.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Family visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Wilson was born June 21, 1928, in Shawee, Okla. (sic. not found in F/A/G locations), the son of John and Helen Stapleton Wilson. He married Luejean Rowley June 22, 1952. She survives.
Mr. Wilson had lived in the Fairfield community for a few years. He later moved to Wichita, Kan., where he was an engineer for the Boeing Company for 32 years. After retiring, enjoyed wood crafting, and was widely known for his annual Santa carving. He and his wife also enjoyed vacationing in their motor home and time spent with their three grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Judy Endicott, of Kirkland, Wash., and Jennifer Ringhofer of Seattle; one sister, Peggy McNichol of Austin, Texas; and three grandchildren. Other family members include Mr. and Mrs. Firmin Tebochorst of Fairfield; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rowley of Burlington; and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Graumann of Sheboygan, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
