Connie Rae Willoughby, 60, of Silverdale, KS, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the South Central Kansas Medical Center. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Stephen Butler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Silverdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 9am-8pm.
Connie was born March 9, 1951, to Max Ray and Ada Mae (Goatley) Alsip in Arkansas City. She was reared and educated in Arkansas City graduating from Ark City High School in 1969.
On March 6, 1970, Connie married Terry Willoughby in Silverdale, KS. The couple made their home in Arkansas City for a short time before moving to Silverdale where they currently resided. Connie worked as a teller for Union State Bank for 11 years. She later worked as the bookkeeper for Powers Roofing, and the bookkeeper for Willoughby Music.
Survivors include her husband Terry of the home, daughter Stacy Willoughby, son Jake Willoughby and wife Tisha, parents, Max and Ada Alsip all of Silverdale, KS; grandchildren, Max Willoughby, David Jeter, Emily Collins, Hannah Willoughby, sister-in-law, Connie Sue Harrold of Valley Center, KS; niece, Misty Whitson of Benton, KS; nephew, Clint Gibson of Cypress, Greece; and numerous cousins.
A memorial has been established for the Relay For Life. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
