EAST PEORIA, IL - Mary E. Eichhorn, 91, formerly of Bayview Gardens, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Fondulac Woods Health Care Center.
Born March 20, 1912, in Kilbourne to Eugene and Sadie Jackson Willing, she married William Johnson. He preceded her in death.
She later married George Hubbele. He also preceded her in death. She married Earl Eichhorn. He, too, preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Leila Jackson and Roberta Magnuson; one son, William Robert Johnson; two sisters; one brother; and one grandson.
Surviving are one son, James Johnson of Creve Coeur; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter (and Margaret) Willing of Missouri and Phillip (and Rosemary) Willing of Kilbourne; and one sister, Dorothy (and Bud) Steiner of Danvers.
She worked in the foundry at Caterpillar Inc. for 17 years before retiring.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in East Peoria and a former secretary of the Caterpillar Redhots Square Dance Club. She square danced until the age of 88.
Graveside services will be at noon Thursday at Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne. The Rev. Ken Wagstaff will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
