Hattie was the third child of eight, five girls and three boys born to Charles and Susie Ellen (Foster) Williams. Hattie attended school at Cassville, MO through the eighth grade.
Hattie was married to Paskell "Pat" Oney Darity. He passed away in March of 1973. They had seven children, four daughters and three sons.
Hattie worked in the public most of her life cooking and cleaning boarding houses, hotels and laundries in Cassville, MO. At times, she and her family picked strawberries for three cents a quart just to put food on the table. Hattie and her family move to Walsh, CO for the first time in Sept. 1948, they went back and forth to Missouri several times. After three of her daughters married Colorado boys, they decided to make Walsh their home.
Hattie likeed to square and round dance, bowl and fish with her husband. She played games a lot with her neighbors and had a cat she loved. She also enjoyed crocheting and working on her lawn and flower gardens.
In 1996 Hattie moved into the Walsh Healthcare Center. Where she enjoyed watching the birds, playing games, helping fold the laundry, the flowers and gardening.
