Martha Marie (Williams) Barickman passed away peacefully on June 8, 2011, at the age of 92. Born on July 27, 1918, to Ruby and Dorey Williams, Martha was a Pueblo native and graduate of Centennial High School. In 1940, she married Frank Barickman and they had two sons, Kevin and Kim. A few years later, Martha and Frank opened a sweets and soda shop called "The Corn Cottage," where they made the best chocolate malts and popcorn balls in town. Employed by Prudential Insurance for 25 years, Martha was a hard worker who always made time for things she loved, like entertaining friends and family and Jeep rides to Beulah. She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, beautiful red hair and making the best of every day. Martha will be reunited in Heaven with her parents; husband; sister, LaVora Wilson; and favorite dog, Fonzie, a.k.a. "The Fonz."

Martha's legacy will live on through her sister; sons, daughter-in-law; and five grandchildren. A public viewing from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday. Funeral service honoring her life, 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Parkview Medical Foundation or YMCA of Pueblo through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
