Mrs. J.M. Barclay Passes Away Here

Pioneer Woman Dies of Heart Failure Without Warning

Mrs. J.M. Barclay, well known matron, died suddenly about noon Thursday at the family home on upper Second street. Mr.s Barclay had not been in good health and was under a doctor's care, but was able to be around the house. Mr. Barclay had left the house for a few minutes, crossing the street to a neighbors' on an errand, and when he returned she had passed away. Death was evidently due to heart failure.

Mrs. Barclay was 62 years old and was born in Dallas County, Missouri. The family came to Dayton from Missouri 37 years ago. She is survived by her husband and by five sons and two daughters, all residents of Dayton. They are:

Floyd Barclay, Harry E. Barclay, Virgil I. Barclay, Charles E. Barclay, Clarence J. Barclay, Mrs. J.L. Cyrus and Miss Gertrude Barclay. She is also survived by six brothers, all of whom are in the east.

Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.
