Dorothy 'Dot' W. Cantrell, 92, departed her earthly life Sunday morning, March 22, 2015. She was born in Salisbury, NC, to the late D.F. and Lula S. Williams and was a life-long resident of Greenville.

A devoted wife and homemaker for 53 years to her one and only love, Cecil B. Cantrell Sr., she never remarried in her 22 years following his death.

She was a member of Bethel Calvary Baptist Church and although it was difficult for her to attend services in her last years, she regularly would listen to services and Gospel music on TV. Most of all, she loved God's beauty in nature; raising plants, flowers, and vegetables all her life and watching wildlife from her picture window.

Dot is survived by a sister, Rebecca Johnson of Easley, her two sons, Cecil B. Cantrell, Jr. of Baker FL and Frank G. Cantrell, Sr. (Cindy) of Simpsonville, 5 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, William, James, and Frank Williams Jr.; and sister, Ruth Lowery.

The family thanks the caring staff of Diamond Health & Rehab.

Visitation is Friday, March 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with a memorial service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
