Mrs. Edna Mae Williams Ferguson, 63, of Route 1, Taylorsville, died Saturday, Aug. 3, in a Rome Hospital.
She was born in Bartow County on March 1, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Jeff and Clevie Hudgins Williams. She was employed by the Cartersville Spinning Company and was a member of the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church.
Mrs Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Ferguson, and a daughter, Brenda Ferguson.
She is survived by one son, Hansel (Happy) Ferguson, Taylofville; three daughters, Mrs. Hugh Gordon of Athens;Mrs. Guy Garrison and Mrs. Terry Dunagan, both of Taylorsville; two sisters, Mrs Alma Cantrell of Taylorsville and Mrs Rebie Ethridge of Kingston.
Four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 4, at 4p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home. The Rev. Lawrence Garrett officiated. Interment was in Floyd Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were L.V. Carter, Gene Cantrell, J.D. Ferguson, Henry Williams Sr., Raymond Williams and Carl Etheridge.
The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
