Joyce Marie Williams Eppard, 63, of Elkton, died on Friday apr 13,2007, after an extended battle with cancer.
She was born on July 30, 1943, near Elkton, and was a daughter of the late Elzie and Lydia Morris Williams.
Mrs. Eppard was a lifetime resident of the area and attended the Elkton Pentecostal Church. she had been employed by Wrangler in Elkton, Wampler Foods in Harrisonburg, 7-eleven in Elkton and the Genie Co. in Shenandoah until her illness.
Survuiving in addition to her husband of 39 years, Chester Rupert Eppard, are two daughters, Renee Shifflett of Elkton, and Tonya Hoover of Harrisonburg; four brothers, Harrison, Ray and Charles Williams, all of Elkton, and Paul williams of Quinque; three sisters, Geneva Shifflett of Shenandoah, and Donna Stepp and Evelyn Breeden, both of Elkton, three grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted on Monday, April 16, at Hensley's United Methodist Church, near Elkton, by the Rev. Nona Allen and Pastor Carter Dean. Burial was in the church cemetery.
