FORMER RESIDENT SUCCUMBS

Ida May Williams Nickell, 79, died at the Riverside Community Hospital August 31, 1974 after a short illness.

She was born July 22, 1895 in Vernal. Her parents were Elias Willard Williams Jr. and Ida Jane Bascom. She married James Chilton Nickell November 8, 1915. They were later divorced.

Mrs. Nickell was active in Relief Society and was a temple worker.

She is survived by two sons and five daughters; Dallas C., Mrs. Lynn (Lorna) Holmes, Mrs. Boyd (Erma) Errell, all of Vernal; Glenn, Ervine, California; Elda Nashh, Roseville, California; Mrs. Harold (Verda) McKee, Riverside, California and Mrs. Elza (Lela) Christian, Las Vegas, Nevada; 30 grandchildren and 37 greayt-grandchildren; one sister, Elva Shields of Salt Lake City.

The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Naples Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday, 7 tp 9 p.m. at the Vernal Mortuary and Friday from 11:30 12:30. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
