Elizabeth J. Freeman, 69, of Round Rock for the past two years and formerly of Lexington where she lived for 40 years, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at her home in Round Rock. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Ruel Cooper of Lexington and Rev. Geary McManus of Knob Springs officiating. Burial followed at 4 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.
She was born July 19, 1937 in Gorman to Dewey O. Williams and Dovie Daun Butler.
She married Calvin Robert Freeman on June 4, 1954 in Comanche.
Mrs. Freeman was a teacher aide for Lexington public schools before retiring after 30-years of service.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, The Daughters of American Revolution and The Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Her hobbbies included geneology, quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin R. Freeman of Round Rock; son, Gary Freeman and wife Mary of Iola; two daughters, Cheryle Freeman of Round Rock and Amy Hutto and husband John of Cedar Park; three grandchildren, Kati Freeman, Megan Hutto and Molly Hutto.
Pallbearers include Calvin Freeman, John Hutto, Amy Hutto, Cheryle Freeman, Gary Freeman, Kati Freeman, Megan Hutto and Molly Hutto.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
