JoAnn Elizabeth Bouson Williams (Jody to her family)
July 5, 1935- April 15, 2015

Preceded in passing by her sister, Jeanne Virginia (Williams) Winter, and their parents, Clarence (Mike) and Marie Williams of Washington State.

Jody married Jose Bouson. She had four wonderful children: Lisa Marie, who passed away at a very young age, and was named after her mother, Marie; Joseph (named after his father, Jose); Marisa, (named after Marie and Lisa or the nurse at the hospital); and Jeanne (named after Jody’s sister, Jeanne and Jody’s mother, Marie).

Jody’s son, Joseph, gave her five wonderful children grandchildren: Olivia Bearden, Andrew Bouson, and with his beautiful wife Evelyn, they had Joshua Bouson, Jacob Bouson, and Jared Bouson. Jody’s daughter, Marisa with her wonderful husband Moreno (Domingo) Pena, gave her four more wonderful grandchildren: Richard Pena, Christopher Pena, Anthony Pena and Suzanna Pena. Jody’s daughter Jeanne with John Franklin, gave her three more grandchildren: John Franklin IV, Leilani Franklin and Kayla Franklin. Jody’s grandchildren loved their “Abuela JoAnn” dearly and will truly miss the wonderful times they shared with her.

Jody had three great grandchildren. Jayden Pena and Andrew Pena (the sons of Richard Pena) and Solomon Smith IV (the son of Suzanna).

Jody is also survived by a nephew and a niece. Mike Pearl: Fondest (although' only) nephew from Jody's sister's side, who, from earliest memory, was in awe of his Aunt, and his wife, Claudia Pearl, also true fan of "Aunt" Jody's wit and charm and humor. Barbara Jeanne Pearl, niece on Jody's sister's side, another charter member of the Aunt Jody's fan club, all from Anacortes Washington. Mike and Claudia's son Travis Pearl, (spouse, Sandra) of Seattle Washington, and Claudia's son Jesse Friebolin, (spouse, Retno) and daughter Surrey, who reside in Jakarta, Indonesia, and who is also a teacher of English as was his Aunt Jody.

Jody and Jose, along with their three children, moved back and forth between Washington State and Puerto Rico for many years. They finally decided to settle down in New Jersey. Where she got the greatest job on earth (according to her), being the director of the English as a Second Language Program at Glassboro State College (Rowan University) on the Camden Campus. This job was her passion not just a career. She loved teaching students from all over the world and from many walks of life. She received her PhD, in Education later in life and was known as Dr. Bouson which she always thought was so funny and got a kick out of it when people referred to her as Dr. Bouson.

She is the reflection of the humor, wit and Love of many people whose lives she touched and influenced. She will be greatly missed and we live with the hope of being able to see her again. We will always carry with us the light-heartedness of her memory.
