Beverly Ailene (Smith) Williams passed away April 3, 2014, in Cedar City, Utah. Beverly was born on April 30, 1921, in Downey, California to Howard and Mabel (Pooler) Smith. She married Lewis Weldon Williams on January 18, 1941, in Los Angeles, California. They had two children—Marlene (Bevan) Leigh and Beverly (Richard) Hallett.
Beverly grew up in Downey, California, was a licensed cosmetologist and raised her family in Downey. Lewis and Beverly later moved to San Jacinto, California. Beverly spent the last 10 years living near her daughters in Lake Havasu, Arizona and Cedar City, Utah. The last five years she was at Kolob Regional Care & Rehab in Cedar City. The family wishes to give special thanks to everyone at Kolob for treating their mother/grandmother with such love, kindness, patience and respect.
Beverly loved spending time with her family, a good bargain (yard sales) and dollar slots.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers—Wesley and Everett, a sister—Audrey Morris and a great grandson—Josh Culbertson. She is survived by her daughters, her grandchildren—Jimmy (Lori) Culbertson, Deborah (Mikel) Borg, Shawnah (Marc) Maitoza, Carrie (Carl) Riebow, Shelby (Rob) Fisher; 11 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Swindlehurst Mortuary, located at 2071 N Main Street, Suite 1, Cedar City, Utah. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cedar City Cemetery.
