Major League Baseball Player. He was an infielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds. He began his career in 1938 with 20 games late that season in Brooklyn. Two years later, he was selected off waivers by Cincinnati and played there for three seasons beginning in 1943. There he played nearly 300 games at second base.
