Lena I. Tate Logue, 50, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:45 P.M. on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

She was born on Friday, June 3, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Shader) Williams. She married Robert Logue on July 8, 2001 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Lena was a cook at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor and was of the Baptist faith.


Surviving family members her husband: Robert Logue of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 sons: Charles Tate of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Robert "Bud" Tate of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 5 grandchildren: Robert Tate, Jr., Tristan Tate, Destiny Tate, Samuel Logue and Sarah Logue; brother: Bill Williams and friend Robin of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister: Lou Ann Stegall and husband Steve of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 sisters-in-law: Carol Tate of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Neila Baronick of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her parents preceded her in death.

ARRANGEMENTS:
VISITATION: was held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: were held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Daniel Harriman officiated. INTERMENT: Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to The Logue Family and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
