Luella A. Aitken, 77, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.
She was born in Violet, Wis., and was the daughter of the late James H. and Veva (Withrow) Will.
On Dec. 5, 1945, she married Jack C. Aitken in Sparta, Wis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1997.
She was a homemaker and a retired postal worker.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Lee Aitken, James A. and Billy Ray Aitken, all of Granite City; two daughters, Jackie Sue Lease of Rockford, Ill., and Veva Martin of Granite City; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice Knight of Joliet, Ill., and a brother, Dick Will of Joliet.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachelle Aitken; a sister; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hanks-Gubser Funeral Home in Hardin, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
