Juanice Dasher Wilkinson, 91, of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born September 30, 1919, in Lowndes County to the late Johnnie O. and Lillie Stallings Dasher. Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and formerly a member of First Presbyterian Church. In 1938 she married John Burch Wilkinson and spent her life supporting her husband in his farming business, pursuing her passion for baking and working in her yard.

Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by one daughter and son- in- law, Ginger and David Fields of Hahira; three sons and daughters -in- law, John R. and Portia Wilkinson of Hahira, Larry and Judy Wilkinson, Crisp and Caroline Wilkinson of Valdosta; eight grandchildren, Laura and Jeff Hoon of Louisville, Kentucky, Ben Fields of Hahira, Chuck Wilkinson of Atlanta, Chad Wilkinson of Hahira, Joan and Joey Wilder of Sharpsburg, Jennifer and Matt Thomas of Winter Garden, Florida, Jason Wilkinson and his fiance', Andrea Bowen of Ocoee, Florida and Naomi Wilkinson of Valdosta; six great grandchildren, Christian and Sara Hoon, Jordan Fields, and Riley, Ansley and Nathan Wilder. She is also survived by her sisters, Idora Willis and Betty Jo Cone of Valdosta, one brother and sister -in-law, Johnnie and Nan Dasher of Dasher. Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Burch Wilkinson and a sister, Dorothy Parham Webb.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Michael Bass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Gideons Bible Society.
