OWLS HEAD – Marjorie MacFarland McKellar, 101, died peacefully Thursday, December, 8, 2005, surrounded by her caregivers at the Owls Head Homestead. Born in Warren, May 25, 1904, she was the oldest of nine children of George L. and Verna Rowe Wiley. She was educated in Warren schools.
She owned several rental properties with her first husband, Alfred MacFarland.
She was a longtime member of White Oak Grange in Warren and Pratt Memorial Methodist Church which became Aldersgate Methodist Church, Rockland.
Mrs. McKellar was pre-deceased by her first husband Alfred MacFarland of Union, her second husband Parker McKellar of Warren; five sisters and one brother, Clara Isabelle (in childhood), Edna Parlin of Jefferson, Fannie Pigeon of Dover, NH, Esther Butler of Union, Florence Willman of Whitefield, and Edgar L. Wiley of Warren. She is survived by one sister Ella Rowe Moore, and one brother, Lindley G. Wiley both of Warren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
Spring interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Union. (Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins on-line)
