Rose Ann Thompson, 79 of Ironton, passed away Friday January 8, 2010 at her residence. The Lawrence County Ohio native was born February 12, 1930 the daughter of the late James and Margaret Barrett Wilds.
Mrs. Thompson attended Pedro Schools and was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She was a former employee of the Lawrence County Hospital and Wilson's Sporting Goods. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pine Grove and lived all her life in this area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Tommy) Thompson.
Two brothers, James and Lawrence Wilds, a sister Mary Otworth and a special nephew, James Nolin Wilds.
She is survived by her two children, John Ritter of Ironton and Deborah Scott of Ironton.
Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Clara Wilds of Ironton.
Funeral was 2 PM Tuesday January 12, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street Ironton, Ohio with Father Tim Kozak officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.
