Gertrude R. (Wild) Wolter, 92, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She was born February 20, 1921 in DeWitt County to the late William and Dora Kuester Wild. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard; she also loved painting pictures. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lindenau her whole life.
She is survived by her sons, James A. Wolter and wife, Patricia, of Victoria and Larry W. Wolter and wife, Janice, of Castroville. She has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Wolter, Jr. and brother, Emil Wild.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lindenau with Pastor William Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Lindenau Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Oscar Wolter, Jr., Brain Wolter, Michael Wolter, Raymond Tate, David Motyka, and Ronnie Wolter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Lindenau Cemetery Fund.
