Services for Julia Burns, 98, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. The Rev. Thomas Estes of Covenant Presbyterian Church of College Station will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burns died Wednesday at St. Joseph Manor.
She was a lifelong resident of Brazos County.
She was a homemaker and a member of the P.E.O., DAR, The Woman's Club, and College Station Garden Club. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1925. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patton W. Burns.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Curtis M. and Ann A. Burns of Bryan, and Jack P. Burns of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
