Veronika Jenkins of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday evening, July 25, 2008, at her residence in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years.

Veronika Jenkins was born on February 26, 1924, in Ering a/Inn, Germany, to Joseph and Maria (Kottbauer) Wieser. She grew up in Ering a/Inn attending school through the eighth grade. She then moved with her family to Munich, Germany, where she attended occupational school graduating in 1941. She then worked as a beautician and in the hotel business before returning to Ering a/Inn in 1944. She married Chancie F. Jenkins on November 5, 1951, in Augsburg, Germany, and following their marriage they moved to the United States settling in Blackwell. After establishing their home she began working as a sales clerk for the C. R. Anthony Store where she worked for twenty-five years. Her husband preceded her in death on March 27, 1998, and she continued to make Blackwell her home.

She is survived by two sisters, Julia Pagler of Simbach, Germany, and Marilele Klopsh of Bad/Tolz, Germany; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Joseph Wieser and three infant brothers; and a sister, Tea? Bucher.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, July 28, 208, at 9:00 am in the Blackwell Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Foos of the First United Methodist Church in Nardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
