Services were conducted by the Rev. Nicholas Roorda of Pipestone, Minn., and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City under the direction of Van Etten Funearal Home.
Mrs. Wiersma, the former Hermina Peters, was born at Orange City April 14, 1896. She was married to Sam Wiersma February 24, 1918. The couple farmed northwest of Orange City until retiring in 1959 and moving into Orange city. Mr. Wiersma died April 16, 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Pipestone and Stanley of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five grandchildren and a brother, Ben Peters, of Sheldon.
