Gail M. Doolittle of Wurtsboro, a retired secretary for Ellenville Central School and lifetime resident of the area, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, in Horton Medical Center, Middletown. She was 62.

The daughter of Peter and Ethel Penn Wiedrich, she was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Elba. She was the widow of Franklin Doolittle. Mrs. Doolittle was a member of the Mamakating United Methodist Church; Summitville Fire Company Auxiliary; and Mamakating and Westbrookville Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three sons, Peter Doolittle of Ellenville, John Doolittle of Monticello and Franklin Doolittle of Wurtsboro; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Ethel Pratt.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the funeral home. Pastor Randolph Yerkes will officiate. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Phillipsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Summitville Fire Company Auxiliary, Summitville, N.Y. 12781.

Arrangements were made by Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville.
