Widow of Dr. Samuel M. Widney, died at the home of her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Schell, 1312 Blair avenue, Tyrone, on Sunday
following an extended illness. She was born at Black Log, Juniata county,
on March 20, 1865. She was united in marriage in 1882, with Dr. Widney, who
died on Feb. 12, 1926. Mrs. Widney is survived by these children: Harry M.
Widney of Frank, W. Va., Mrs. Sherman Harencane of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Harry F.
Cowher, Mrs. John S. Schell and Clarence L. Widney of Tyrone. She also is
survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a
member of the First Methodist church of Tyrone.
