OBITUARY: "Port Huron Times Herald" June 4, 1913.

"Mrs. S.E. Van Luven, one of the pioneer residents of St. Clair county passed away May the 22nd, at her old home, where she has lived fifty-seven years, coming here when this section of the county was a wilderness.

She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and four daughters, Henry Van Luven and Mrs. Nutt of this place, Chester Van Luven of Minn., Mrs. Wesley Camfield, of Sask., Mrs. Elizabeth Searle of Ludington, and Mrs. Geo. Holt of Yale, besides a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral was held from Zion church Friday, May 30th, interment at Ruby cemetery. Six granddaughters, dressed in white acted as pall bearers.

Among those who attended the funeral from outside were: Mrs. Elizabeth Searle, Mrs. Geo. Martin, Mrs. John Lovell and daughter, Lucy, Will Van Luven and wife, Charles Van Luven and Will Searle of Port Huron, John Wilkens and wife of Wadhams and Thomas Fenner and wife of Port Huron."

(I have a copy of her death certificate marked 27 as day of passing, thus the discrepancy)
