Violet Edna Matz, age 74, Bowler, died Friday, September 25, 1992 at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton.
She was born December 20, 1917 in the town of Almon, the daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Klitzka) Wickman.
On October 10, 1934 Violet was united in marriage to Eddie Matz, Sr. in Clintonville. He survives.
In addition to her husband, Violet is survived by six sons, Eddie (Jeanette) Matz, Jr., Wittenberg, Arthur (Rhoda) Matz, Eland, Dennis (Donna) Matz, Marion, Allen (Ethel) Matz, Mattoon, Kenneth (Bonnie) Matz, Bowler and Elroy (Julane) Matz, Wittenberg; five daughters, Arletta (Kenneth) Kauffman, Navarino, Reka Reynolds, Menomonee Falls, Rose Serrano, Birnamwood, June (Phil) Jasurda, Mukwonago and Evelyn (Curt) Low, Wittenberg; one sister, Margaret Stadler, Birnamwood; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Gordon Wickman, one half-sister, Vera Pranke Loehrl, one grandson, Mark Serrano, one great-granddaughter, Diane Kauffman, and two sons-in-law, Jay Reynolds and Juan Serrano.
Funeral services were held September 28, 1992 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Jimalee Jones officiated. Interment was in the Town of Almon Cemetery.
