Alice Burleson Reesing, 91, of Cranfills Gap, passed away in the Clifton Lutheran Home after an extended illness on Saturday, August 4, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel where visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will follow services in Cranfills Gap Cemetery.
Alice was born in Hamilton, Texas, to the late Alfred August Wickman and Ida Domstad Wickman. She lived in Cranfills Gap nearly all her life. Alice worked in the cafeteria at Cranfills Gap School for many years. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Alice married Franke Burleson on July 17, 1932, in Clifton. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1963. She later married Sidney Reesing, on Jan. 2, 1983, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1991.
Survivors include son, Paul Burleson and wife, Lorine, of Cranfills Gap; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Inez Lee, of Cranfills Gap; brother, Archie Wickman, of Cranfills Gap; and a number of other relatives and friends.
